Does using a Tesla referral link cost me anything?

Can I add a referral code after I have placed my order?
No. Tesla cannot attach a referral to an order that was already submitted. The link must be used before checkout.
What if the referral benefit does not show up at checkout?
Do not submit the order yet. Open the referral link again, sign in to your Tesla account, and start the order from there. If it still does not appear, contact Tesla support before completing the purchase. Tesla decides whether a referral applies.
